Bamboo fiber's unique combination of tensile strength and its peculiar cross-section caught the eyes of Thomas Edison more than a hundred years ago. He used bamboo fiber as bulb wire in some of his experiments. The advancements in modern technologies have enabled the drastic improvement on the quality and commercial use of bamboo fibers. Our latest series of products using bamboo fibers have been put into commercial use since 2004, and have claimed high remarks for their technological breakthroughs, envirnmental and user-friendly features. All our bamboo products are made from bamboos grown in China's southern forests and are washable. The following are some of their remarkable characteristics:
Soft and Thermal Regulating
Bamboo fiber is softer than even the softest cotton, and has a natural sheen to the surface and feels similar to silk or cashmere. Bamboo fiber is thinner than a human hair, and it has a round and smooth surface that is so soft and well aligned that it has no stimulation against human skin. Its bright white color is shinning and is absolutely delicate. Bamboo fiber has a high degree of elongations and erosion-proof. The cross-section of the bamboo fiber is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes, which in return contribute to the fiber's high degree of moisture absorption and ventilation. Such a great feature enables bamboo fiber comforter to be thermal regulable and will keep you cooler, drier, warmer and odor free in both hot summer and harsh winter seasons.
Naturally Anti-microbial
Unlike other anti-microbial fabrics, which require a chemical treatment, bamboo fiber is naturally anti-microbial and requires no harmful chemicals. It contains an agent, "bamboo kun", that prevents bacteria from cultivating on it.
Natural and Healthy
Bamboo is of the world's most prolific and fastest-growing plant, and it is able to reach maturity in about four years. Bamboo is nature's most sustainable resource, and it is grown without pesticides or chemicals. It is 100% biodegradeable and is naturally regenerative every 3 to 4 years. The great wonders of bamboo were validated as early as 400 years ago by arguably the best ancient Chinese medial work, Ben Cao Gang-mu (The Compendium of Materia Medica). Modern medical studies by both Chinese and Japanese scientists have further validated that bamboo fiber can help to prevent cancer, improve on human's immune systems, sooth human's skins, and to slow down the aging process.
How is Bamboo Fiber Made?
Bamboo Fiber is a kind of regenerated cellulose fiber, which is produced from raw materials of bamboo pulp. First, bamboo pulp is refined from bamboo through a process of hydrolysis-alkalization and multi-phase bleaching. The Bamboo pulp is then processed into bamboo fiber.
